Why Cryme Tyme Came Back, Backstage Heat On Jericho, Santino , Killings Update

Apparently was a directive several months ago to get more African-Americans on WWE television. The marketing department noted a major downturn in African-American viewer ship since 2006. This lead to WWE's decision to bring back Cryme Tyme out of nowhere. At one time, Elijah Burke was supposed to move to Raw in a trade, but writer Brian Gerwitz never came up with an idea for him, and the plan was nixed.

Apparently some WWE officials in the front office have been unhappy with WWE Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho as of late. No more details were given aside from the fact that some people expected a lot more out of Jericho before his big WWE return last year and feel that he hasn't delivered on all the hype.

Last week it looked like Derby City Wrestling's Al Barone is being considered for a bodyguard role for WWE Superstar Santino Marella. Now we're hearing that former WWE developmental talent Ken Theissen is also being considered for the role.

As previously noted, Ron “The Truth” Killings suffered a shoulder injury at the 4/8 house show in Trenton, NJ. It turns out that the injury caused him to miss the entire European tour, but he was able to work a dark match on Monday night. All reports we’ve gotten say that the fan response for Killings has been way above average for a dark match worker, so don’t be surprised to see him on WWE TV sooner than later.
